Toledo
In Toledo (not Ohio) we stopped before reaching the city at a lookout point. It was fun to find different ways to capture the view; all at once, through some branches, and in Paul's glasses. We parked the bus and walked up to the main square where our tour guide let us loose to find lunch. We followed him to the place he normally eats when he's there. We had Jamón ibérico croquettes (deep fried Iberian ham) and some Japanese chicken wings and enjoyed a couple of beverages. After lunch we all met up once again for a walking tour of the city and the Cathedral. The cathedral is mostly made in the gothic style but there was an interesting mashup of baroque as well.
After our tour we had a few minutes to shop for marzipan (Toledo is known for it) and other souvenirs. Paul and I took the time to pet dogs in the square instead, which I am sure comes to no one's suprise.
After that, we drove on to Madrid!
