Granada

March 2, 2026

We had an overnight in Granada. We saw Alhambra, the palace. One of my favorite things about Spain is the Moorish style of art and architecture. It's so unlike what we're used to seeing in the states, although Paul has remarked that Moorish use of light reminds him of our mid-century style.

I've been loving all the photography opportunities I get on this trip. For those who are interested in gear, I brought my Nikon Z6iii which two lenses; my Tamron 28-75 2.8 as my standard and my newest lens, my Viltrox 16mm 1.8. They've been the perfect mix. The Tamron is really light and has enough focal length variety that I can grab street shots and building details. The Viltrox is exactly what I hoped it would be. A fun, open lens for dark interiors, even though it's a little heavy. I say it's worth it. It has a manual aperture ring which to me, adds to the fun!

I'm behind on posting! In real time we are on the bus on the way to Barcelona, our last stop. But until I post about that, I have a few more days to catch up on. Thanks for reading!
